Payit4ward 1st Annual Backpack Bash
Payit4ward is having our 1st Annual Back to school backpack drive for the youth of Volusia County. Our goal is to supply 1,000 children with backpacks filled with school supplies for the new school year. Youth from any Volusia County School is invited to this free event. Summer of Planets Viewing Party
Join us for a Moon and planet gazing event in our front entrance courtyard! There will be a spectacular planetary showing with Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, and Mars, along with a full Moon visible throughout the evening. Mars will be the main attraction, rising a little later in the evening and at opposition – opposite of the Sun in the sky, and its closest and brightest since 2003. There will be a plethora of telescopes (weather permitting) setup with local stargazing experts that can help you enjoy the celestial view.
The MOAS will be hosting live shows about stargazing and Mars for your enjoyment.
Guests are welcome to bring their own outdoor chairs, telescopes/binoculars, and their curiosities about the universe.

Family Craft Day
Join MOAS Educators, Kelsey Hansen and Nicole Messervy, for a fun-filled day of crafts and more! This craft day we will be celebrating Florida native animals. Numerous craft tables will be set up in the West Wing for families to enjoy. From 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., the Central Florida Zoo will have six animals present to visit and learn about.
